Golden Hour Magic: Tanaka & Rumbi’s Beautiful Besties Outdoor Portrait Session in Murambi, Mutare



There’s something truly special about golden hour in Murambi – that fleeting time when the sun dips low, painting everything in warm, dreamy light. When Tanaka and Rumbi approached me for a best friends’ portrait session, I knew this scenic spot would provide the perfect backdrop for their friendship story...Yes their home, pamba pavo ipapo lol.


The Location: Murambi’s Natural Beauty

Nestled just in the heart of Mutare, Murambi offers rolling hills, open fields, and those iconic African sunsets that make every photo look like a painting. We timed our session perfectly, arriving as the late afternoon light began casting long shadows and gilding the landscape in gold.


Authentic Connection, Unposed Moments

Tanaka and Rumbi wanted their portraits to feel natural, not staged. Instead of rigid poses, we:

  • Let them walk hand-in-hand through the tall grass, laughing as it tickled their ankles
  • Captured quiet moments where they simply looked at each other, forgetting the camera
  • Used the dipping sun to create stunning silhouettes against the horizon
